SM44 marks a new era under exciting ownership, led by Alade Aminu — 2x Olympian, former Miami Heat player, and international star with championships in multiple countries. While honoring the legacy of Steak Market, we've added a bold twist inspired by Bar 44 — offering the best of both worlds. Our main floor delivers an upscale dining experience, while our downstairs speakeasy provides a more relaxed vibe with craft cocktails and more.

We're also proud to introduce our Executive Head Chef, "Thee Main Ingredient" — Chef Willie Wallace.

Chef Willie brings world-class flavor and star power to SM44, having cooked for icons such as Kanye West, Travis Scott, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Rick Ross, Janelle Monáe, DJ Drama, and top NBA & NFL athletes. His résumé includes sold-out events in London, exclusive celebrity dinners, and a feature at ESSENCE's My City 4 Ways: Atlanta tour.

Notably, Chef Willie kept Kanye West's production team fueled during the making of the Grammy-winning Donda album, serving them throughout massive events at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Soldier Field.
